Amherst Democrats invite you to attend a public forum on ballot questions 5, 7 and 9, to be held on October 7 at 7 p.m. in the Amherst Police Department’s community room in downtown Amherst. We will hear from guests speaking on behalf or against the measures, which will be on the ballot in this November’s election.

Question 5 would change the limit of how much revenue the state can collect each year, Question 7 would allow single-family homes to be built in a residentially zoned lots of at least 5,000 square feet, and Question 9 asks voters to support or reject an existing gun law.

There will also be time for Q & A. Members of the Amherst Democratic Town Committee will also considering whether to make endorsements on the three questions.
